Brian Mauro

Biography

Brian Mauro, Ph.D., is an experienced higher education administrator with more than 25 years of experience. No matter what role he has played, Mauro consistently works to improve campus life by prioritizing the well-being of students. Prior to being appointed Vice President for Student Life at DeSales, he served as the Director of Auxiliary Services. Before arriving at DeSales, Brian spent more than 15 years at Fairleigh Dickinson University – Florham Campus in a variety of roles, including Dean of Students and Campus Executive. He also held student affairs positions at Muhlenberg College and Penn State – Lehigh Valley Campus. Throughout his career, Mauro has remained committed to enhancing campus culture and the student experience.

Brian has been happily married for nearly 30 years. He and his wife Marie are the proud parents of two rambunctious 20-something sons. In his free time, Brian enjoys life on his farm—tending to his three therapeutic mini-horses, caring for his large flock of chickens, maintaining his koi ponds, and harvesting vegetables from his garden.
